[ Black Hills Photo Gallery - Northern Hills - Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway ]
The Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway, or US Highway 14A, is a 20 mile journey
that takes you from just outside Spearfish to Cheyenne Crossing, which is
eight miles from the town of Lead. The highway follows along Spearfish
Creek and has several marked stops at historical marks, beautiful waterfalls,
and other points of interest. Be sure to allow lots of time to make the
journey, and don't forget to stop at a visitor's center and pick up a
brochure. It will lead you on a self-guided tour of the Canyon and US
14A.
