Sturgis, a town of approximately 7,000 people, is located along I-90 about 25 miles from Rapid City. It is rich with history and attractions. The largest attraction is the Sturgis Rally and Races, South Dakota's largest tourism event. It is a week where tens of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts journey to the Black Hills area for fun and entertainment. It is also home to the National Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame. Also located nearby is Bear Butte State Park, Fort Meade, and the Black Hills National Cemetery.

Charlie Nolin Monument - He was a mail carrier that was ambushed here after Little Big Horn.

General George Custer Camp Ground - This infantry division camped here during their return to Ft. Abraham Lincoln.

Annie Tallent House - She is credited as being the first white woman to come to the Black Hills.

Poker Alice House - She came to the area in 1876. She was a card shark, expert gun handler, and cigar smoker, who opened a gambling house shortly after her arrival.
