[ Black Hills Photo Gallery - Rapid City - Cleghorn Springs Aquatic Center and Hatchery ]

Stop nine on the Rapid City Star Tour is the Cleghorn Springs Aquatic Center and Hatchery. Each year, the hatchery releases over one-half million trout and salmon. Visitors are welcome to feed the fish with pellets available at the site. The entire process is explained in the visitor's center and the viewing ponds offer a chance to see the fish in various stages of development.

The Cleghorn Springs Aquatic Center is located on the western edge of Rapid City on Highway 44. It is open from Memorial Day to early September and is free to the public.
