The Journey Museum brings together the history of the Black Hills. It contains four major historic and prehistoric collections. It is all geared from the perspective of the Lakota people and the pioneers who shaped the past of the Black Hills to the scientists who study the Black Hills today.

The Journey Museum is located just east of the civic center on New York Street and is open year round.
